Welcome to our gallery and workshop. Thank you for visiting and for your interest in our photography and custom craft. Whether you are here to explore the raw beauty of the natural world through a lens, view our fine art sketches, or appreciate the precision of a custom blade, we are so glad you’re here.
At the heart of everything we create is a deep love for the outdoors, an eye for meticulous detail, and a passion for capturing the untamed spirit of wildlife.
Our photos reflect our shared love of nature and the outdoors—a passion we’ve enjoyed together for more than 50 years. Our travels have taken us from our home in North Texas to New Mexico, the mountains of Colorado, the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park, the lush Olympic Rainforest, the rugged Pacific Northwest, and most recently, the breathtaking landscapes of Alaska.
We spent many years shooting on film and now work digitally. All of our wildlife images are taken in their natural habitats. While we use Photoshop to process our images and bring out the beauty we see in nature, we don’t create or digitally add elements to our photos. From majestic buffalo and soaring eagles to the quiet grace of a quail, we hope you’ll find something here that you’ve never seen before, something that makes you stop, look a little closer, and feel the same sense of wonder that inspires us every day.
The creative journey doesn't always end when the shutter clicks. I also love pushing the boundaries of traditional photography by transforming our original, high-resolution wildlife photos into striking, detailed black-and-white pencil drawings and fine art sketches.
By blending modern digital techniques with a classic, hand-drawn aesthetic, I focus on the intricate textures, dramatic lighting, and powerful expressions of the animals we encounter. Rendered at premium, high-resolution (300 dpi) gallery quality, these unique art prints offer a timeless, dramatic perspective on wildlife that bridges the gap between photography and classic fine art.
My eye for artistic detail carries over directly into my other great passion: custom knifemaking. As a voting member of The Knifemakers' Guild, I approach my one-man shop with a focus on patience and precision. Working out of Texas, I utilize the stock removal method, crafting each piece one at a time from start to finish.
Because nature is our ultimate inspiration, these two worlds frequently collide. I often translate the very wildlife we photograph into my custom metalwork, designing intricate bright-cut engraving scrollwork and nature motifs directly onto the knife bolsters and guards, making each custom blade a unique, functional piece of art.
This journey has been a long, rewarding adventure. For many years, our life was balanced between raising a family, working shift at the refinery, and finding time for the things we loved most—fishing with the kids, playing ball, and "sneaking in" time to craft a knife or take a photo whenever I could.
Since retiring in 2013, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to dedicate my days fully to these creative passions (with plenty of time left over for the golf course!).
Whether you are looking to add a dramatic wildlife sketch to your art collection, purchase a vibrant nature print, or commission a custom heirloom knife, we are honored to share our vision with you.
